Under general supervision of the MQL Manager and Supervisors, the FUT Project Engineer is responsible for managing the processes required in the setup and execution of Friendly User Trial projects for proto-type smartphones. Evaluate end-user reported defects to Samsung's internal defect registration system providing support and feedback to R&D in a collaborative effort to minimize risk involving software and hardware related defects. Using Project Management best practices, the FUT Project Engineer will manage multiple projects, coordinate software updates and methodologies, manage reported defects, and write official project reports to submit to carrier. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Will review issues that are raised during its trial period in a timely manner to ensure its fix prior to lab entry. • Using extensive knowledge of software testing, conduct small scale risk analysis and review for defects to prioritize and negotiate with R&D for intended resolutions. • Gathering data from Friendly User Trials to research user patterns and trends in pre-launched devices. • Conducting surveys to perform in-depth analysis on launch readiness of new products. • Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to track carrier and manufacturing schedules in order to manage and coordinate Friendly User Trial project timelines and testing considerations. • Create and compile project status reports to management upon request. • Create final project reports during project closing phases to deliver to carrier. • Monitor and control projects based on business objectives and key performance indicators. • Coordinate meetings with User Trial end-users during project duration to maintain positive relationships. • Responsible for holding training sessions with users to introduce new features and train them on how to log issues. • Ensuring appropriate phone setup per software testing best practices prior to the execution of Friendly User Trial projects and updating documentation for test device setup in consideration to specific products. • Coordinate with UT Project Engineers at remote site locations to collect additional information and/or feedback from end-users for defects requiring further review. • Will ensure Friendly User Trial recipients are added to the appropriate trial programs through the website and maintain participation requirements. • Review technical details and specifications for ongoing and upcoming projects to create project considerations and provide communications to all project stakeholders. • Participate and lead weekly meetings with different teams across the organization. Background/Experience: • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related electronics technical training from four-year College, university or heavily related on the job training at a significant level. • Should have 1-2 years experiences in the telecom industry. • Strong communication skills for demonstrations and conducting end-user training. • Ability to perform root cause analysis, decision analysis and establish process mapping. • Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows + LAN/WAN environment.

High degree of technical aptitude in software testing principles. • Ability to understand all relevant technologies in current market and evolving market place. (WCDMA, GSM, CDMA, LTE) • Demonstrated English language competency in both written and oral communication modes for both internal and external communications. • The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments. • Ability to communicate with internal/external users in professional manner to maintain a good relationship with them to secure strong user pool for the User Trial projects. • The demonstrated ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned concepts. Exposed to situations where only broad and general guidelines for problem solving. • Passion for learning and upkeep of evolving technologies. Having an in-depth understanding on how technology influences the development of culture and society.
