Who we are? The Sprint Marketing team of Samsung Electronics America is instrumental in creating demand for Samsung products through integrated and collaborative marketing with partner Sprint. The team seeks to leverage our consumer research and knowledge, (including key regional, ethnic, and demographic segment trends), to fully understand how consumers use and interact with smartphones and tablets in their daily lives toward development and execution of promotional strategies with Sprint to grow our mutual business. Our work is comprehensive across all marketing channels synergizing our overall marketing strategy in partnership with Sprint through TV, radio, OOH, print, web, direct mail, and social media, as well as in store executional elements – merchandising display and point of purchase communication tools as well as sales rep product education & training critical to win sales of Samsung products at the consumer moment of truth. The SEA Sprint Marketing team works collaboratively with Sprint's extensive marketing organization, our Samsung National Customer Development and Samsung Brand Marketing team's. What will you do? The SEA Sprint Marketing team Summer Intern will engage in project work around key marketing promotions and activities on-going with our partner Sprint. Specific areas of focus will be around Improving and evolving our social media channel strategy, post-launch assessment of our go-to-market execution to assess effective and identify opportunities for improvement, and projects around subprime strategic marketing and Sprint's retail transformation in store merchandising initiative. A mentor within Sprint Marketing team will engage early with the Intern to define responsibilities of planned projects as highlighted as serve as a coach. Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Project Details: The Sprint Marketing Intern will work closely with Sprint Marketing team members to identify areas of improvement (post launch assessment & opportunity identification), suggest and create new enhanced approaches (social media & HACM marketing solution development), and apply to current business (implementation). The intern will also work independently on various marketing research or implementation projects in support of the team's overall work. The Marketing Intern will be expected to develop and demonstrate the following skills throughout his/her internship: Critical thinking/analysis A Creative Consumer Centric Mindset Problem-solving Time management Excellent communication skills Teamwork Degree/Background/Experience Required: Undergraduate candidate in Marketing or Communications Experience in social media campaigns and market insight analytics Proficient in MS Office Suite Internship Eligibility Requirements: Must be enrolled in an accredited University Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA Provide proper work authorization to University Relations Attend New Hire Orientation on first day
