Software Engineer - Customer Trust, Java Full Stack

Our cloud platform is used by 100,000+ companies who demand a high quality, responsive, and predictable application. As a Software Engineer in Customer Centric Engineering you will investigate complex issues on our platform that handles 3 billion transactions per day, across a number of different core technologies over a massive code base. You should be passionate about solving tough technical problems, understanding customer impact and recommending improvements to products and processes.

What you'll be doing:
·  Using your investigative and technical skills to resolve critical escalations to R&D impacting a wide range of products and customers.
·  Debugging Java code using Eclipse, Splunk, and other troubleshooting tools, to identify root causes and provide fixes
·  Building relationships with other teams across R&D and data center operations as a technical expert
·  Mentoring, training, and influencing teams across Salesforce, including R&D, and Technical Support, using strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills
·  Developing new debugging tools with product teams
What we're looking for :

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Bachelor's Degree required. BS or MS in Computer Science strongly preferred
Required Technical Skills:
·  Fluency in an object oriented language; Java preferred
·  Familiarity with Oracle and/or other relational databases (Postgresql, MySQL etc)
·  Familiarity with core web technologies: HTTP, JSON, REST, XML
·  Experience using Linux environments, such as Ubuntu and/or CentOS
·  Experience with a known IDE: Eclipse or IntelliJ
Desired (optional) Technical Skills:
·  Previous Salesforce / Force.com development experience
·  Experience with Agile methodologies
·  Log parsing in Splunk
·  HTTP traffic analysis: Fiddler or Charles
·  Performance analysis: Java Flight Recorder, JMC
·  Experience with Oracle SQL developer
·  Front end development experience: Javascript, HTML5
·  Caching technologies: REDIS, Memcached
·  Experience with mobile app development: iOS/Android Simulator
