The Salesforce Customer Experience Design team exists to shape and build transformative customer experiences that take the Salesforce platform to its limits. We help our clients discover, articulate and express a clear, powerful vision for the dynamic combination of their Brand and the Salesforce platform. We help make this vision real for their customers, by delivering a useful, usable, desirable experience that leverages the strengths of Salesforce and the best of our clients' Brands.
Position Description:
We are seeking an innovative and passionate UI/UX Designer who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. As our UI/UX Designer Intern, you will be responsible for the UI/UX across all types of projects, including customer and partner portals, social applications for business, mobile applications on iPads, Android tablets, smartphones and enterprise business applications across nearly every department function. You will work closely with our Delivery team, help manage client expectations, lead design sessions, and use a sharp eye to ensure adherence to quality guidelines and the application of UI/UX best practices on all our projects. You will obtain relevant experience creating and managing design direction for clients within various verticals. Your understanding of UX and UI will add to brainstorm new concepts and design prototypes for clients.
Responsibilities:
· Designing the experience model across channels
· Applying user-centric design thinking on projects
· Defining the user experience, including storytelling, personas, process flows and interactions
· Create and deliver amazing presentations that move people to action.
· Coordinate with UI and UX resources
· Participate in client planning/strategy sessions, serving as an engaged thought leader
· Provide clear/objective critiques of creative work during development.
· Remain current and communicate industry trends and techniques.
· Use all software programs needed to fulfill approved creative concepts.
Required Skills/Experience:
· Demonstrate a strong belief in user-centric design coupled with the ability to explain how to approach design and flexibility execute a methodology for different types of clients
· Possess UI/UX skills in the areas of user research, personas, workflows and wireframes
· Ability to quickly grasp the fundamentals of a complex domain and come up with UI/UX solutions that are simple and well-organized
· Demonstrate ease and confidence visualizing ideas with simple lo-fi tools such as markers, sticky notes and a whiteboard
· Equally demonstrate comfort translating ideas into highly detailed and annotated wireframes
· Able to generate multiple UI/UX solutions for a given problem
· Experience working on multiple projects with differing deadlines
· Pursuing a degree in a related field, such as information design, human-computer interaction, library science, cognitive science, graphic design, or industrial design a plus.
· Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
· Ability to leverage online/offline ideas and technologies with an eye to integrate a big idea through multiple mediums
· Work effectively with technical teams to deliver excellent end products
· Portfolio required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Proficient in wireframing tools
· Experience with mobile design
· Understanding of digital, mobile and social media space with great concepts, practices, procedures and technologies
