Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to support our friendly Marketing and e-commerce team in Newcastle upon Tyne on a full time, 14 month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) starting in February 2022.

Reporting to the group HR & Marketing Director, and working alongside the E-Business Development manager, this role will involve implementation and delivery of pre-determined marketing strategies and activities to achieve key business and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities and key results areas

·  Responsible for the marketing strategies for all key business sectors and planning for 2022 making sure plans are in place to achieve objectives set by the business
·  Will also be responsible for determining new marketing strategies for 2023 due to the timing of this contract
·  Managing and briefing external agencies to aid successful delivery of digital marketing tactics
·  Oversee the introduction of new products into the business and launching to internal and external customers effectively
·  Oversee the planning and execution of our content marketing and communications strategy including social media, blog, other website content and email
·  Oversee the day-to-day upkeep of three websites
·  Responsible for implementing new customer sales incentives and systems
·  Coordinating national sales promotions
·  Oversee the opening of new stores and delivering marketing campaigns to promote
·  Create accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance
·  Monitor monthly reports and identify action to be taken
·  Manage an established marketing team including Marketing and Design executives, and Product Coordinator
·  Lead regular update meetings with senior management and colleagues
·  Overseeing the day-to-day running of the department, making sure all deadlines are achieved and high standard of work is produced

 

 

 

What we are looking for in a Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

·  A Marketing degree, Digital Marketing degree or equivalent, or relevant work experience of at least 3 years
·  A proactive and enthusiastic person who can generate new ideas to drive digital marketing strategies.
·  Experience of managing a busy marketing department
·  Experience delivering strategic and integrated digital marketing campaigns
·  Experience working with and managing external marketing agencies
·  Good business and commercial awareness – preferably gained from similar industry
·  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
·  Capable of leading, coaching, and motivating a team
·  Able to manage workload and work to tight deadlines
·  IT literate in systems relevant to role i.e. Adobe CC, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
·  Strong literacy and numeracy skills
·  Driving licence (travel and overnight stays may be required)
·  Graphic Design or layout design skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) – preferred but not essential
