The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting new business opportunities within the Medical product line within the Taunton, MA and Poestenkill, NY sites. This role has a high emphasis on learning and developing technical skills including extrusion of silicone and knowledge to help ensure the success of the business.

The individual in this position will be the primary technical customer contact and will oversee new business projects including development of products to meet customer specification, validation of finished products, transitioning the product to full scale manufacturing operation, costing and product launch.

This individual will continuously work in conjunction with team members from other departments in the business including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales to successfully fill the role.


·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical, chemical, industrial) or similar technical degree with engineering related coursework
·  3 Years' experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment
·  2 Years' experience in silicone and/or plastics extrusion, molding lamination or similar manufacturing processes
·  2 Years' experience in Project Management
·  Knowledge of quoting and estimating and using standard costing systems
·  Excellent written and Oral Communications Skills in English
·  Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision


·  Master's Degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical, chemical, industrial) or similar technical degree with engineering related coursework or MBA
·  2 Years' experience in Material Design/Application work
·  World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or LEAN principles
·  Quality systems & validation protocols
