About the Opportunity:
In this pivotal coordinating role, you'll ensure that work flows smoothly through our special processing areas—supporting on time, on quality delivery for both internal and external customers. By bringing together demand, capacity, and shop floor execution, you'll help keep production running efficiently while contributing to the continuous improvement of our planning processes. If you enjoy solving problems, influencing cross functional teams, and driving operational performance, this is a place where you can make a real impact.
What you'll be doing:
• Build achievable production sequences by balancing load and capacity across multiple processing areas, supporting the Master Production Schedule.
• Work closely with Shop Floor Planners to ensure ERP data is accurate, realistic and aligned with delivery commitments.
• Monitor progress daily, identifying risks to schedule adherence, expediting when needed, and supporting recovery plans.
• Analyse short term load vs. capacity, highlight constraints, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage planning related quality activities including NCR progression, operation completion dates, and service order schedules for processing operations.
Candidate skills & requirements
What you'll bring:
• Strong knowledge of production planning fundamentals, such as MRP2 principles (e.g., APICS).
• Understanding of special processing techniques—Shot Peen, NDT, Paint, Surface Finish or Heat Treatment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, production flows, and continuous improvement tools such as LEAN.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and influencing skills, with the confidence to lead discussions and resolve conflicts.
• A proactive, adaptable and results driven mindset, with strong decision making and organisational skills.
