Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is offering the challenging, but exciting opportunity to join our Customer Service Team as a Spares Demand Planner. The role is to provide a stable, accurate spares demand plan using demand history and market intelligence, and together with appropriate safety stock levels, achieve target customer service levels and optimised inventory in line with business objectives.
Key Activities
•Develop demand forecast and demand plan using statistical analysis
•Work with Product Support Manager, Supply Planning and Sales team to integrate market intelligence into the forecasts
•Support quarterly forecast review per program
•Pro-activity complete in depth data analysis to identify areas of concern and propose recommendations for improvement
•Scenario planning : modelling potential outcomes
•Measure and report forecast accuracy and variance
•Lead root-cause analysis into major forecast variances
•Capture alerts and weak signals where forecasts deviate from initial assumptions
•Validate forecast, share and review with supply planning team and operations
•Communicate to all levels of the business major changes to the demand plan
•Identify, test and implement improvement initiatives to the demand planning process
•Manage data within Forecasting tool (Syncron) to ensure accuracy
•Optimise inventory through sound and stable demand plans
Occasional travel to France and Canada are a requirement of this role.
