Your Role
As the Site Services Manager, you are at the heart of ensuring the Pitstone facility operates at peak efficiency, safety, and compliance. This vital leadership position requires strategic thinking with hands-on management, making you responsible for the seamless functioning of the site's infrastructure and services—key foundations that enable manufacturing and innovation for the aerospace sector and the ability to meet our customers requirements.

Candidate skills & requirements
Key Responsibilities & Daily Activities
• Facility and Asset Management: You oversee the full lifecycle and performance of infrastructure, manufacturing assets, and test equipment. This includes capital asset planning, preventive and reactive maintenance, and ensuring maximum uptime through robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies.
• Outsourced Services Leadership: You manage contracts and daily coordination with external partners for maintenance, metrology (measurement and calibration), janitorial, catering, waste management, and security - guaranteeing high-quality, cost-effective operations.
• Team Leadership: You lead, motivate, and develop both in-house and outsourced site services teams, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. Succession planning and team development are core to your approach.
• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: You ensure all statutory, health, safety, and environmental standards are met or exceeded. You are proactive in risk identification, compliance with EN9100 (aerospace standards), and act as the site's focal point for audits and HSE strategy execution.
• Project Management: You drive infrastructure capital projects from initial specification and costing through to successful implementation, ensuring that each project aligns with operational needs and long-term sustainability goals.
• Sustainability: You are a champion of carbon reduction, embedding environmental considerations into all site activities and supporting Safran's commitment to a more sustainable world.
What You'll Bring
• Experience and qualifications relevant to the role. Most likely in Engineering whether from an Apprenticeship, Degree or other. - Essential
• Experience of Hard and Soft services management including Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) – Essential
• Evidence of ongoing learning in regulatory standards pertaining to facilities management - Essential
• Regulated industry experience preferably in an Aerospace environment (EN9100) - Essential
• Excellent knowledge of statutory law and compliance in relation to Health and safety standards – Essential
• Experience and qualifications in Change Management – Desirable
• Experience and qualifications in Lean/Continuous Improvement – Desirable
