Job description

Primary Function:
This position requires strong analytical, planning, forecasting and organizational skills. Manages sales, inventory, operation and planning process (SIOP), works closely with sales and marketing and master scheduler on forecast accuracy, trend analysis, areas of improvement, production plan compliance and inventory management, as well as projects to improve overall operations planning effectiveness. Position is also an escalation point related to supplier issues and material shortages. Works closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure proper execution of purchasing action messages.

Essential Functions:
A. Manages daily, weekly and monthly SIOP processes, meetings and action plans, issues resolution and tracking
B. Champions SIOP process to utilize systematic process to determine right inventory levels required to match customer demand with available capacity
C. Associates SIOP and inventory levels to develop and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and obsolescence
D. Leads a team of buyers in expediting material, working with suppliers (as necessary) and managing buyer action messages to align with production need dates and inventory reduction initiatives
E. Analyzes data, including SAP requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant/product line optimal supply chain execution
F. Measures forecast accuracy to the historical usage and customer provided forecast
G. Works closely with Purchasing Manager to support the purchasing function and stakeholders, communicating any supply challenges which may impact business operations
H. Monitors and advises any purchasing issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
I. Builds, maintains and manages supplier relationships and works closely with Supplier Quality and Supplier Performance teams on continuous improvement
J. Data Analyst responsibilities include developing and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly KPI metrics and presentations
K. Working closely with Master Scheduler to maintain proper inventory levels
L. Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Position Criteria:
• Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
• Thorough understanding of SIOP and operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, forecasting and inventory control
• Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
• Ability to analyze data and provide appropriate recommendations as well as influence others to execute timely required objectives.

Candidate skills & requirements

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
