Descripción de puesto

Manage, maintain and improve the quality system, analyzing the manufacturing system to determine if it meets the quality requirements of the customer and the company.

· 
Collaborate in improving the quality of the production line through data analysis to enhance customer satisfaction.

· 
Participate in and ensure compliance with safety projects and guidelines.

· 
Promote and participate in continuous improvement projects, considering the scope of your job.

· 
Participate in and promote the 5S methodology in your work areas and with your team.

· 
Communicate customer objectives and requirements to the entire quality department through meetings and internal communication channels so that staff are aware of the objectives and how they can contribute to achieving them.

· 
Comply with and enforce the quality system specifications, understanding and communicating applicable standards to prevent nonconformities that could compromise the certifications applicable to the QMS.

· 
Provide maintenance and coordination of MRB (Material Requirements Planning) through daily monitoring of area inventory costs to minimize the financial impact on operations.

· 
Monitor the control of the plant's measuring and testing equipment by performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure reliable data for controlling part specifications.

· 
Provide support to the assigned business unit according to the quality functions defined in this document through QRQC/TIER meetings and by performing the QMS activities described herein to help achieve the business unit's objectives.

· 
Support other divisions, business units, and departments with visits and audits through active participation when requested in these types of events, which may include, but is not limited to, presentations, area tours, etc., to achieve customer satisfaction and maintain obtained certifications.

Analyze and resolve problems that arise on the production line and/or customer complaints using problem-solving and prevention tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, 4 Blockers, FMEA, PSW, A3, Kaizen events, SPC, and QRQC (PPS, LPS, SPS) to reduce COPQ.

· 
Monitor and ensure process compliance based on established specifications through process audits to guarantee that they are carried out according to applicable standards and specifications.

· 
To ensure customer satisfaction and monitor customer perception, the quality engineer must be the point of contact with the customer, attend customer audits, monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions, evaluate customer rejections, follow up on RMA requests, and lead quality meetings with the customer.

· 
Execute and review First Article Inspections (FAI) according to the AS9102 standard.

· 
Perform other duties inherent to the position according to the company's needs. Purpose: To meet the organization's established goals.

· 
Comply with safety, hygiene, and environmental programs and policies, with a preventive and educational approach that allows for the prevention of accidents and occupational illnesses, improves working conditions, and reduces environmental impacts.

· 
In order to understand, implement, and adhere to the requirements of the Quality Management System, the engineer must adhere to, but is not limited to, the following standards and procedures:

EDUCATION

· 
University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent verifiable experience in the position.

· 
Green Belt certification (desirable).

· 
Internal auditor certification in any quality system (desirable).

ENGLISH LEVEL

·  Intermediate English.

EXPERIENCE

·  1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position or professional internship.

COMPUTER SKILLS

· 
Proficient in Minitab.

· 
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· 
Experience with measurement tools.

OTHER SKILLS

· 
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

· 
Proficiency in troubleshooting tools (QRQC, 8D, 5W, etc.).

· 
Knowledge of SPC, NCR, CAR, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and Control Plan
