Job description
This position will act as a problem solver to support Production and Purchasing departments. They will support component selection for new and existing designs. Also, they are responsible for focusing on component applications & working closely with suppliers, customers, design engineering, purchasing and production functions to insure seamless design modifications and upgrades. Expeditious resolution of daily challenges.

Investigate opportunities for product improvements related to purchased commodities and in‑house manufactured parts and assemblies.

Respond quickly to daily challenges from suppliers and internal manufacturing teams.

Develop test plans, reports, and analyses to support component selection.
·
Create change notices and associated engineering documentation.
·
Support and participate in scheduled supplier visits.
·
Serve as a technical resource on project teams; identify root causes of production issues and recommend corrective actions.
·
Prepare engineering estimates as required.
·
Provide Material Review Board (MRB) disposition for purchased and manufactured parts throughout the manufacturing process.
·
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
1–2 years of experience or an engineering internship appreciated.
Knowledge of CATIA or other CAD software is a strong asset.
Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.
Ability to create engineering documentation, test plans, and reports.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
Ability to react quickly and manage multiple daily challenges.
Familiarity with MRB processes and engineering change management.
