Job description



The purpose of this role is to effectively and efficiently develop and coordinate the logistics and warehousing activities. The incumbent must accurately maintain inventory as well as distribution and stock management on a domestic and global scale.

Duties and Responsibilities

·  • Maintain, review and periodically update logistics process and associated form, work instruction and procedures.
·  • Responsible for stock management; including inventory system updates, stocktaking, receipting, issuing, and disposals in MILIS and MYOB
·  • Supply Customer Account oversight and reporting
·  • Ensure sufficient level of supply is made available to maintenance support team and workshops by conducting purchasing activities and initiate resupply of consumable goods to support customers.
·  • Coordinate distribution activities of spare parts and products domestically and globally to fulfill customer demands and repairs
·  • Generate monthly reports, and develop presentations to advise management on KPI's
·  • Manage Contractor Managed Commonwealth Assets (CMCA)
·  • Coordinate and accurately maintain end to end disposal plan management.
·  • Maintain accurate and detailed records,
·  • Management of logistics requirements (ITAR, Security), import/export agreements and incoterms.
·  • Be actively involved in SEDA quality plan.
·  • Assist Support Technicians as and when required
·  • And any other duties as defined by SEDA management.

Job requirements

Experience and technical skills

·  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management
·  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics
·  • Skills and experience working with ERP systems
·  • Experience working in or exposure to warehousing and distribution in Defence industry, is highly desirable
·  • Competency in Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) Experience in processes under Quality Standards AS/NZS9001, AS/NZS9110, and AS/NZS14001 framework
·  • Advance use of Microsoft Office (word and excel)

·  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence security clearance to NV1.
