Job description
The HSE Intern will support the Health, Safety & Environment department in ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in chemical management, environmental monitoring, training development, and emergency preparedness activities.
The intern will assist with continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards:
-Verify Safety Data Sheets (SDS) accuracy and support hazardous chemical control.
-Support the review and update of secondary chemical container labels in accordance with GHS requirements.
-Support data collection and analysis of environmental performance indicators.
-Develop and update HSE training materials, presentations, and visual communication tools.
-Support safety-related improvement projects and risk reduction initiatives.
-Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills.
-Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
-This position will require walk around the facility and work at desk.
Candidate skills & requirements
-Strong organizational and analytical skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
-Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
-Detail-oriented and proactive.
