Job description

Main Responsibilities:
To set and operate a CNC Grinding Machine (Studer S31 with Fanuc control) and various manual grinding, Honing and lapping equipment. Produce parts to the required drawing and specification utilising set up reductions, maximising output, and prioritising workload. Contributing to 5S, TPM and carrying out ‘in process' inspection as required.

Main Activities:

Using standardised processes, programs, established tooling and fixtures set CNC Studer machine and operate to produce high tolerance parts in a variety of materials. Coupled with the traditional machines such as manual grinding, lapping and honing be capable of and willing to perform standard bench operations such as de-burring, part marking, cleaning and pressure washing.

Must :
Be qualified in a recognised apprenticeship
Be capable of reading sketch sheets and engineering drawings
Be capable of learning and training ‘on the job' as the need arises

Have experience in a similar role
