Finance Work Experience Placement

Job description



As the successful candidate, your placement will be within the Finance department focusing on the following areas:

1. Treasury. You will be involved in looking at the cash book receipts and payments and the reconciliation of bank statements.
2. Tax. You will learn about the different types of taxes that businesses have to pay.
3. Payroll. You will spend time understanding the role of a payroll administrator and the importance of keeping to tight deadlines.
4. Management accounts. You will learn about how costs are budgeted and monitored by cost centres.

By the end of the placement, you will have a good understanding and be able to confidently identify the key objectives within the Safran Landing Systems Finance function.

Job requirements

Due to legal restrictions, you must be at least 15 years old and within academic year 10-12 upon application.

You will be self-motivated, hard working and enthusiastic with some knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A keen interest in aerospace and engineering is desirable but not essential.

Within your cover letter, please consider 3-5 skills you would be keen to develop during your placement. If successful, you will be provided with a log book to monitor and develop the skills identified.
