Job description
The EHS Apprentice will support the Environment, Health & Safety team in promoting a safe and sustainable workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining EHS management systems, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting their career in EHS who wants to gain practical experience in risk assessment, audits, environmental monitoring, continuous Improvement and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Participate in workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Support incident investigations and help track corrective and preventive actions.
Contribute to EHS training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
Help maintain EHS documentation, including permits, records, and reports.
Monitor waste management, recycling, and energy-saving initiatives.
Support compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., waste disposal, emissions).
Collaborate with departments to ensure safe work practices and environmental stewardship.
Continuous Improvement.
Assisting with the implementation of ISO 50001 Management System and maintaining the ISO 14001 Management System.
Assist in data collection and reporting for EHS KPIs and performance metrics.
Participate in emergency preparedness drills and response planning.
