Job description

Safran USA is seeking a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to lead hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure operations in a shared-services environment.

This role is responsible for maintaining operational stability across AWS cloud environments, on-prem infrastructure, and shared perimeter security while leading a small team of infrastructure and network engineers.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with operational discipline and governance maturity.

Scope of Responsibility

AWS (commercial or GovCloud experience a plus)

VMware / on-prem virtualization

Enterprise networking & firewall governance

Identity & access controls (AD / Azure AD)

Backup & disaster recovery

Monitoring & operational stability

Shared-services hosting for internal business units

Key Responsibilities

1- Hybrid Infrastructure Operations

· 
Manage day-to-day operations of AWS and on-prem systems

· 
Oversee VMware clusters, servers, storage, and networking

· 
Ensure high availability and performance of hosted workloads

· 
Maintain documented infrastructure standards

2- Cloud & Identity Governance

· 
Manage AWS resources, IAM roles, and access controls

· 
Enforce MFA and least-privilege practices

· 
Support cloud cost visibility and optimization

· 
Assist in cloud modernization initiatives

3- Network & Perimeter Oversight

· 
Govern firewall policies and segmentation controls

· 
Oversee VPN and remote access configuration

· 
Maintain change control discipline for perimeter updates

-Validate HA and failover readiness

4- Security & Compliance Alignment

Support alignment with internal security standards

Maintain documentation and evidence for audits

Oversee vulnerability remediation coordination

Ensure log retention and monitoring coverage

5-Team Leadership

-Lead and mentor infrastructure & network engineers

-Establish runbooks and standard operating procedures

-Coordinate with application and security teams

-Serve as escalation point for complex issues

Candidate skills & requirements

Technical Skills

-AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, monitoring)

-Networking fundamentals (VLANs, ACLs, VPN)

-Firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, etc.)

-Backup and disaster recovery

-Monitoring tools

-PowerShell / scripting (nice to have)

Required Experience

-7–10 years IT infrastructure experience

-2–4 years AWS hands-on experience

-Strong networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, VPN)

-VMware or equivalent virtualization experience

-Active Directory & Azure AD experience

-Experience in regulated or structured environments preferred

Preferred Certifications

-AWS Solutions Architect – Associate

-Security+ or similar

-Azure certification (beneficial)
