Job Description

Responsibility:

Responsible for implementing routine, preventive and corrective execution of all mechanical, maintenance with in workshop / department. He will execute maintenance activities by plant workmen and contractor personnel. Ensures high standards of maintenance service quality

Key Result Area:

·  Ensure personnel safety, equipment safety and high availability and reliability at minimum cost by maintaining and supervising personnel responsible for the mechanical maintenance.
·  Ensure efficient and safe maintenance of the facility equipment by establishing, implementing, and maintaining maintenance procedures utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Basic SAP knowledge is desired.
·  Using CMMS for automatic work order generation, scheduling, executing and closure mechanical maintenance activities.
·  Responsible to assign the daily maintenance work loads and to supervise and evaluate performance of assigned responsibilities.
·  Provide safe working environment and promote attitude of safety awareness of all plant personnel including actively ensuring the safety of others.
·  Coordinate contractor support required for equipment repair or maintenance including; work scope, negotiations, contract development, and implementation
·  Supervise procurement and maintain spare parts and materials with an automated inventory control system to maintain plant operations.
·  Support equipment operation through the implementation of preventive, predictive (condition based), scheduled and corrective maintenance planning and procedures.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·  Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience in continuous process industry – preferably MNC. Ideal candidate would be from food / pharma / chemical industry.

SPECIAL SKILLS SET:

·  Must have demonstrated excellent technical skills in maintaining centrifugal pumps, blowers, rotary dryers, grinders, material handling conveyors and elevators, centrifuges, ETP and WTP.
·  Must possess integrity and trustworthiness towards the company.
·  Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Good verbal and written communications skills in English are essential. 
·  Basic knowledge of MS office. Prior experience with a computerized maintenance management system is required.
·  Basic knowledge of implementing world class maintenance - WCM or TPM
·  Must be able to personally respond to plant emergencies 24 hours per day.
