In our organization Automation Engineering (diagnostics laboratory automation) we provide innovative automation solutions supporting Diagnostic Laboratories to optimize their workflow and intra-logistic processes, which results in an improvement in testing efficiency, service to clinicians and provided patient care. With the most complete portfolio in the market, we offer the best-customized solution for every lab (low-, mid- and high-volume laboratories). To ensure interoperability between our IT and our Workflow Products we are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team at Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz.

Key responsibilities

Participating in concept development and feasibility studies to solve technical problems

Defining the functional and physical architecture taking into account relevant views (e.g. system context, mechanics/electronics/software, service etc.)

Identifying and defining external and internal interfaces

Translating customer and business requirements into product/system requirements and deriving requirements for system components and units

Participating in the identification and assessment of product risks and defining risk control measures

Supporting the definition of the integration and verification strategy from a requirements perspective

You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical-, Mechanical- or Software-Engineering

You have professional experience in the field of system development

You gained solid knowledge of relevant processes and methods of systems engineering

You are a practical and interactive person with Hardware affinity

Your ability to lead by influencing and driving decisions in cross-functional, multicultural teams across locations and in cooperation with external partners is strong

You are fluent in written and spoken English, German is an advantage

As a plus, you gained experience in the diagnostics industry or in medical lab automation
