The Summer @ Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. Leveraging the education you received already, we hope to give you an opportunity to grow and develop with us! ​Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities.

Join the Roche Sequencing Solutions Development Process & Support Team! We are an internal service organization that enables Roche Sequencing Solutions to launch high quality and compliant products by creating, managing, and improving the process, lab, and infrastructure frameworks used for product development.

Help us build a better way of working to support our research and development scientists!

Sample assignments could include:

· 
Creating and managing a Kanban board to improve our efficiency

· 
Participate in the creation of training content for new software tools. Develop test cases and challenge the functionality of internally used software tools to ensure business needs are met

· 
Perform a process gap analysis and updata a standard operating procedure and associated document templates

· 
Lead a process improvement initiative

· 
Perform a root cause investigation and implement solutions to prevent the issue from recurring

· 
Present findings in written reports and presentations

· 
Create and update training material for IVD product development processes

Qualifications:

·  Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2020
·  Completed at least 2 years of college/university to be eligible for the program.
·  Must have a ≥3.0 GPA
·  Major in Engineering, Software, Biology, Chemistry, Business, Quality engineering, or other related disciplines
·  Minimum availability of 12 weeks (Required start on or before program Welcome Reception and end date on or after Summer End Poster Symposium).
·  Previous experience in the job duties listed, either through course work or industry/academia
·  Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience
· 
Attention to detail, Ability to develop and follow a methodical approach

· 
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
