Who we are

The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) is a business function within Product Development (PD), Roche's late-stage clinical development organization. The DTO offers services and products to PD that develop or extend critical business capabilities (e.g. knowledge & information management, the digital transformation of specific business processes, capability-based planning).

The Digital Transformation Strategy (DTS) team is charged with identifying and developing opportunities for digital advancement to improve PD's business operations, enable agile ways of working and support the delivery of business change. Our main focus is to advance PD's ability to assure and improve findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability (FAIR) of critical information across Roche. Timely access to quality information & insights is essential for bold decisions delivered quickly - be they in support of a clinical hypothesis, in aid of agile teams addressing operational challenges or in support of executive portfolio decisions.

The position

As a member of the DTO Strategy Team, the Knowledge Management Intern will have the following responsibilities/duties:

·  Explore current thinking, trends and internal/external best practices in integrated knowledge management
·  Help to conceptualize and implement a continual learning system to enable the capture, organization, dissemination and re-use of tacit (and explicit) knowledge
·  Researching and assess internal and external knowledge management infrastructure components (database, search, etc.)
·  Supporting the implementation of organizational learning and knowledge sharing programs from concept to delivery and measurement of the effectiveness

Moreover you have/are:

·  University degree, preferably in a scientific/ technical discipline, ideally in Knowledge or Information Management, Librarian or associated disciplines (e.g. Social/Cognitive or Organizational Psychology, OD)
·  Fluency in written and spoken English
·  Basic project management experience
·  Creative and conceptual thinker
·  Some Knowledge Management experience
·  Affinity to technology, data analytics, process improvement
·  Curiosity, open-mindedness and interest to work in a global environment
·  Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment

This internship should preferably start as soon as possible and will last a minimum of 6 months with the possibility to extend 6 months.
