Senior/Principal Process Engineer, Cell Therapy

This position is part of Genentech's Hillsboro Individualized Therapies plant. Hillsboro Individualized Therapies is a new manufacturing facility for advanced immunotherapies for cancer patients. The plant is located on the Genentech Hillsboro Campus in Hillsboro, Oregon.
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and experienced Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing Sciences and Technology group. This role requires experience in the exciting and rapidly developing field of cell therapy. This individual will lead and support various aspects of the design, and startup of a new cell therapy manufacturing unit and will be responsible for various aspects of the validation and technology transfer. They will also provide technical support to the cell therapy manufacturing operation including process monitoring and optimization as well as authoring technical assessments. The role requires extensive collaboration with stakeholders in Engineering, Process Technical Development, Manufacturing and Quality. The successful candidate will have experience in cell therapy manufacturing or process development.
Position Requirements and Experience:
Relevant cell therapy manufacturing experience including technology transfer, process development or manufacturing technical support.
Bachelors, (Masters preferred) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related)
8 years of relevant industry experience including 2 years of cell therapy experience. The level of the position will depend on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
