The Opportunity
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the dynamic Healthcare Outcome and Value Community as a Public Affairs Managerin our Finnish affiliate on a two-year contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving communication and policy work.
Alongside the day-to-day local role, and thanks to Roche’s no-borders approach, you will have the opportunity to frequently collaborate onambitious initiativeswith colleagues from other countries, regions, and areas of the business to expand Roche’s presence and build a better tomorrow.
Key responsibilities
External communication: You develop content and deliver an evolved story about Roche and our societal mission through external communication channels.
Digital communication: You create a corporate footprint by formulating content for corporate communications channels and support Disease Area teams in connecting their messages with the Roche narrative on digital platforms.
Internal communication:You lead internal communication efforts, driving colleagues' understanding and commitment to company strategy, localize global priorities as needed and support the General Manager and local Leadership Team with aligned messaging.
Policy planning:You contribute to public policy strategy and collaborate with internal partners to address healthcare system shaping needs. Also, you monitor societal discussions and legislative processes.
Advocacy: You create narratives & key messages and cultivate relationships with key political stakeholders. You communicate priorities to generate awareness and support for Roche's societal agenda.
Coalition building:You identify like-minded partners across and beyond the pharmaceutical industry and engage in coalition building.
Reputation and issues management: You cultivate media relations and lead issues management to safeguard Roche's reputation in Finland.
Who You Are
You hold a Masters degree in communications or political sciences, or equivalent.
You have more than 5 years of demonstrated communication and/or public policy experience, also providing communications support to senior leaders, preferably in the pharmaceutical/life science industry.
You have a deep understanding of the Finnish healthcare policy landscape.
You have experience in writing clearly and compellingly in a variety of formats (speeches; social media; earned media; short remarks; internal speaking requirements).
You have excellent oral and written communication skills in both Finnish and English, enabling effective communication with stakeholders.
You have an ability to effectively use insights to establish impactful plans and engage with key stakeholders (both internally and externally) to shape conversations.
