Position Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished and driven Bioinformatics Scientist to join the Bioinformatics Market and Applications Development Group. We are a team of skilled bioinformaticians working in a highly collaborative environment to drive product development and generate production-grade analysis methods.

This position will focus on the development of next generation DNA and RNA sequencing based diagnostics in reproductive health, oncology, and other clinical applications.

Responsibilities:

·  Lead development of complex yet robust and scalable bioinformatics solutions for new diagnostic products.
·  Use technical expertise to identify suitable, already existing algorithms, develop novel tools as needed and implement end-to-end research analysis pipelines.
·  Work with the software development team to produce production-grade pipelines.
·  Use knowledge of industry standards and best practices to contribute to robust bioinformatics development processes.
·  Collaborate with assay development on design and analysis of experiments, and conduct simulation studies to influence research direction.
·  Assist with patent and paper publishing, attend meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Master's degree (in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related discipline) and 7 years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. and 4 years related experience.
·  In-depth experience with algorithms bioinformatics tools development.
·  In-depth experience with next generation sequencing data, transcriptomics, targeted sequencing.
·  Proficiency in programming, e.g. R, Python.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·  Track record of publications.
