The Opportunity

Roche in Midrand is seeking a Market Access Analyst. You as our successful candidate will use data, conduct research and provide analytical insights to support market access and commercial strategies.

Key Challenges

Market Access, Data Analysis and Pricing

  • Developing data needs specification with commercial and access teams and sourcing and procuring correct data for product teams.

  • Support with data analysis for innovative access solutions.

  • Monthly maintenance of data sources for sales, product codes, customer codes, log fees, and eUnit formulas.

  • Support pricing strategy and NDoH price submissions.

  • Annual data contract management

  • Act within timeframes of business priorities and provide solutions to barriers

  • Illustrate a strong understanding of SA healthcare landscape.

  • Development of economic models to support access strategy for all disease areas

  • Provide insights and analysis into reimbursement and market access landscape

  • Develop private payer/managed healthcare organizations engagement market analysis

  • Develop digital tools for PJPs to support in practice discussions on access and reimbursement

  • Stakeholder mapping.

  • Relay direction and take people along the journey when it comes to Market Access.

Launch Excellence

  • Investment case development.

  • Pipeline planning and access landscaping, work with the Pods to map new disease areas and quantify molecule potential.

  • Co-create the new molecule map with an emphasis on epidemiology and modeling to support pre launch and launch.

Advocacy

  • Build innovative market access solutions by researching global trends, analysing trends in the context of the specific environments, developing business models and testing solutions, engaging with experts, piloting solutions and managing implementation of successful innovations as required

  • Develop and support access Policy shaping (internal and External).

Who you Are:

  • You have a NQF 7-8 in the health sciences/business or related fields.

  • You have knowledge of the following: The Pharmaceutical industry including regulations and product knowledge, Health systems legislation and regulations in South Africa, the Healthcare and Medical funding environment and Healthcare funding models,  Pharmaco-economics and outcomes research would be advantageous, Political environment and structures  and NEMLC insights and the economic modeling needs.

  • You have the following skills and abilities: You have an analytical, entrepeneurial, growth and partnership oriented mindset. You enjoy tendering Processes, Negotiation, customer centricity, you are able to learn quickly, take risks and experiment. You have a deep understanding of patient journey(s) and related Roche products. You exhibit excellent communication skills & customer engagement skills. You are a systems thinker and you exhibit cross-functional leadership skills and you have the  ability to drive and influence peers in a complex (matrix) organization.
