This position has overall accountability for hands-on, daily supervision of manufacturing operations and personnel while in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Roche’s corporate principles, quality policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities :
· Comply with all RSTO’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.
· Implement, enforce and take ownership on all RSTO’s Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements and initiatives within his/her areas of responsibilities.
· Ensure all employees are competent and provided with the necessary tools and equipment to work safely and without health risks.
· Responsible for the hands-on, daily supervision of GMP manufacturing operations and personnel within the manufacturing site(s).
· Participate in all aspects of personnel management (interviewing, training, coaching and developing).
· Responsible for all day to day operations in the GMP manufacturingsuite, as assigned. Specific responsibilities will include:
· Hands on supervision and support of manufacturing staff.
· Write and revise batch records, SOPs and solution preparation documents to ensure compliance to GMPs.
· Timely review of completed manufacturing documentation (batch records, worksheets, solution docs., etc)
· Schedule manufacturing staff to ensure manufacturing timelines are met.
· Review production schedule and priorities to establish shift assignments.
· Ensure required levels of safety, quality and productivity are met.
· Work effectively within the management team to execute goals, objectives and tasks to achieve desired results.
· Provide assistance in problem solving manufacturing process issues.
· Timely reporting, investigation and resolution of manufacturing deviations.
· Serve as lead trainer on manufacturing processes and all related equipment.
· Provide cross-functional coordination and issue resolution.
· Coordinate equipment maintenance activities
Qualifications
· Degree/Diploma in Life Sciences or Engineering discipline (or equivalent).
· Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience. Preferably 2 years of supervisory experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of GMP systems
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Willingness to train extensively on Biologics production operations while on the job.
· Excellent leadership skills in team based environment
· Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot process and equipment problems with good problem solving skills
· Prepared to work on 12-hour shift schedulle
Appointment to this position will be on local Singapore salary and benefits package.
