The Position

We are searching for a highly motivated colleague, to support the various projects in the early stages of drug discovery with physicochemical data. The candidate will be responsible for the entire workflows of the assays: From sample preparation to data evaluation and reporting. This is an 80% temporary position which will run from appointment until the end of 2021.

Responsibilities:

· 
Perform independently the primary physchem assays for the determination of lipophilicity (CAMDIS) and unspecific binding to lipids (LIMBA) of drugs

· 
Manage the routine analyzes including data evaluation, uploading and reporting of the results

·  Evaluation of new technologies/methods and support of innovation projects
·  Maintain Tecan liquid handling system and the applied analytical LCMS instrument
·  Interact proactively with assay requesters and the compound repository team
·  Support with administrative processes and laboratory organization

Who you are:

You bring the following qualifications:

·  Completed vocational scientific qualification (e.g. apprenticeship in Analytics, Biochemistry or Chemistry) combined with 1-3 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a preferred focus on analytical chemistry
·  Hands on experience in a biochemistry laboratory, data processing using spreadsheets or assay workflow tools and recording experiments using a laboratory notebook
·  You enjoy working with analytical instrumentation and techniques.
·  Proven command of spoken and written English
·  Prior experience of using automated liquid handling robots (such as Tecan Evo systems), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry systems and expertise in performing in vitro assays would be an advantage
