Instrument Operations is responsible for the manufacture, testing and product care of benchtop and large instruments, lab automation and consumables. In addition, Instrument Operations contribute to product development projects and assure product quality, reliable supply, and cost efficiency.

The intern in Business Process Management will contribute inproviding a general level of visibility to the processes and activities that occur throughout Instrument Operations.The intern will support the Business Process Owners and Managers with the process documentation and improvement, and with the creation of the training material. The intern will also assist with connecting the appropriate metrics to the selected processes.

Your main tasks would include:

·  Depict the business process landscape for Instrument Operations
·  Develop business process improvement and document simplification strategies together with the Business Process Owners
·  Design training material for eLearnings
·  Design and create SharePoint and Intranet Sites for Process Management and individual processes

Ideally, you fulfill the following criteria:

·  You are currently enrolled as a student or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months) in one of the following areas: Engineering, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Design
·  Background or interest in business process management and improvement
·  Background or interest in Learning & Development
·  Technical skills in Microsoft Office, Google Tools and SharePoint is preferable
·  Excellent communication skills in both English and German

Start date: May 2019

Workload: 80 – 100 %

Duration: 7 months
