Objectives and Scope of Position:

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing, collecting and authoring business processes and requirements for projects related to a system/tool or suite of systems and tools within Regulatory Affairs (PDR). The BA will be supporting large, complex projects in collaboration with IT and will build and maintain functional knowledge for assigned systems & associated business processes. Will partner with Business Process Owner, Key Business Stakeholders, Training Leads, and Support Leads to achieve the following: (1) Help ensure systems align with process, and that training and user support are fit for purpose; (2) Create visibility to management, tracking & resolution of system issues and defects; (3) Maintain and publish system-specific supporting documentation and information; (4) Support cross-domain technology and process improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Business Analysis: Conducts user needs analysis and requirements gathering, define and support PDR systems projects, including correlative process design/redesign. Works with project team members to develop the “to-be” view of the business processes. Ensure project team have mapped out impact in “to be” process maps, with complete RACI information
2. Oversees, guides, develops, recommends, and implements according to the project plans – complete with scope, deliverables, timing, involved parties, communication, implementation and other change management steps – for each assigned Regulatory Technology project.
3. Responsible for coordinating all UAT activities for Product Development Regulatory (PDR) owned systems as appropriate. Plans, authors, facilitate and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including UAT plan, of Regulatory systems.
4. Support the implementation and post-implementation activities, including but is not limited to Communication and Change Management, Training, and Support to ensure successful project outcome.
5. Operational Activities will include supporting the management of system change requests in partnership with IT. Also, work with the functional team to help prioritize and define business criticality for the change requests.

Professional and Technical Requirements
Education/Qualifications:

·  BS/MS/PhD degree preferably in computer or information science or business related field or life sciences
·  1-2 years system development experience
·  1-2 years project management experience

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

·  Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
·  Proven business analysis skills and experience
·  Information systems management experience along the software development lifecycle, including requirements/specifications development and user acceptance testing for computer systems are preferred
·  Knowledge in systems maintenance/improvements and systems integrations in support of business processes
·  Excellent communication skills required including working with different sites in different time zones
·  Business Analysis and Requirements Management skills; ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines
·  With some guidance can manages diverse range of tasks and develops solutions to difficult problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, including inter-organizational impact. Regularly uses ingenuity and innovation within this process
·  Excellent time management skills: can prioritize multiple tasks and goals and ensure the timely, on-target delivery of tasks and milestones
·  Self-motivated, self-starter and achievement driven, works without appreciable supervision and with limited guidance can determining objectives and approaches to daily work assignments
·  Effective collaboration with team members and business partners; excellent interpersonal skills
·  With some guidance can develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and initiatives; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives
