The Position:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our IT team and provide superior customer service to internal users. You will support the delivery of technology infrastructure solutions through provision of help desk services to the business and provide administrative support to the IT team. More specifically you will be responsible for:

·  Providing first level support to users on Information Technology issues both over the phone and face to face
·  Logging and proactively monitoring problems via the Helpdesk Management System
·  Proactively manage all calls to the Help Desk through to resolution
·  Co-ordinating and updating IT Asset System and Documentation
·  Co-ordination of User Training, Account Management, Hardware and Software Warranty issues
·  Following agreed procedures, respond to requests for assistance by providing
information to enable users to resolve their problems
·  Liaising with other IT Staff regarding the progress of their action on assigned
problems

The Roche IT environment is made up of Google and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, SAP, Sharepoint, Salesforce.com and other applications. The environment is managed locally by the IT Operations Team.

Who you are:

Ideally you will be someone who possesses strong IT and administration skills as this role encompasses both IT Helpdesk and administrative responsibilities. To make you stand out from the rest, you will also be able to demonstrate technical experience/knowledge troubleshooting Intel based hardware e.g. laptops and desktops and be capable of troubleshooting users on Google and MS Office applications.

Furthermore, our ideal team member will have:

·  A strong customer service orientation; proactive; a passion to help and make a difference
·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·  Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues
·  Attention to detail
·  Good working knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office Products especially Excel.
