The Roche Support Network group is committed to providing industry-defining support to its customers. As a Field Applications Specialist, you will have the opportunity to travel and demonstrate your expertise as a technical specialist for Roche assigned product lines, and provide valued service to your laboratory customers in an assigned territory.

As a Field Applications Specialist, Centralized Diagnostics you will:

• Serve as the Roche liaison and expert on all consultative, administrative and technical matters and resolve both routine and complex customer questions and problems involving Roche solutions

• Be responsible for the on-site installation, verification, calibration and/or evaluation of Roche equipment, applications and/or systems

• Perform instrument/product installations and evaluations in accordance with department guidelines

• Monitor equipment, product and system performance ensuring operational quality, and report issues to higher levels

• Complete product conversion installation, upgrades or patches and support as required

• Conduct on-site customer training for customers for assigned instrumentation, products and/or applications

• Support sales activities by promoting Roche products and identifying opportunities for new reagent channels

• Provide leads to sales team

• Identifies opportunities for competitive system consolidation or replacements.

• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers. Determines customer needs and sets appropriate installation/evaluation expectations

• Maintain knowledge of assigned products and technologies.

• Document and process all service and customer account related reports, updates, and emails in a timely and professional manner

• Maintains contact with in-house technical support areas and management per policy

Territory: Boston and suburbs. Travel: 15% after initial training period.

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science or Clinical Laboratory Sciences - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences strongly preferred

• 3 years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment

• Ability to learn Roche product lines, equipment, products and systems

• Good written/verbal communication skills

• Effective customer consultative skills which includes scientific knowledge and analysis, exceptional customer engagement, a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships

• Effective time management skills

• Preferably have previous experience mentoring and training others

• Can work as a field based individual contributor with independence and autonomy
