Job Responsibilities:

·  The position holder leads a cross-functional regional BI team of approx. 20 staff in 2 locations. A large part of the team has recently been ramped-up.
·  The team is engaged in new projects and operations supporting various business functions in Roche.
·  Focus is on commercial operations (Sales & Marketing, CRM data), complemented by Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR and a few others.
·  The position holder will be accountable for regional BI strategy that aligns with IM functions and the global BI strategy.

Motivate and Lead Team

·  ensure clear & measurable objectives for staff are set in alignment with overarching organization goals
·  create culture of teamwork, innovation, customer focus and agile delivery
·  demonstrate passion for both high customer satisfaction and caring for the team
·  active communication in alignment with individual as well as organizational needs.

Perform staff administration, performance & development management:

·  periodically perform and adjust overall workforce planning
·  conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports and facilitate periodic team meetings
·  give regular performance feedback, manage deviations and conduct formal performance reviews at
·  year-end
·  coach staff members on their career-goals
·  hire great people and secure succession planning and talent retention.

Organizational Leadership:

·  actively participate in the global and local leadership teams as a leader of the resp. organization
·  volunteer and/or lead initiatives to constantly improve organizational processes and services
·  actively develop and align the team culture, following local and global standards, guidelines, vision and mission.

Stakeholder Management:

·  actively develop productive relationships with key Informatics and Business Stakeholders, in alignment with their responsible IM Function.

Services Provisioning:

·  define strategy in alignment with global and regional organization priorities
·  measure and continuously optimize the performance of team´s services and projects
·  ensure delivery at appropriate costs, high agility but right level of quality, and high customer satisfaction
·  secure communication around all projects and services so that all stakeholders have the necessary level of information
·  drive adherence to financial budget and monthly forecast accuracy.

Qualification and Experience required:

·  5-10 years' experience in Business Intelligence with a minimum of 2 years of experience with team coordination and people management.
·  Fluent English language skills and work experience in a multi-national environment
·  Mandarin language is an advantage.
·  Mature and strategic mindset.
·  People Performance Management and People Development.
·  Deep understanding of commercial operations and CRM.
·  Basic understanding of finance and logistics business processes.
·  Experience BI design and architecture principles.
·  Strong communication and business partnering skills.
·  Able to manage ambiguity.
·  Able to work in an agile environment.
·  Strong analysis skills and ability to quickly learn new concepts and systems.
