·  Strategic Finance Business Partner – true commercial partnership for a Global pharmaceutical organisation
·  To provide financial analysis and planning, business acumen and system knowledge to support robust and effective performance tracking, business planning and sound decision making as well as accurate month-/year-end financials, closing and reporting.
·  Play a lead role in supporting Roche Pharma/Clinical Operations meet or exceed its financial goals and targets and ensure its compliance with Roche policies & procedures and accounting standards.
·  12 months fixed term at our new head office in Barangaroo, Sydney
As a Associate Financial Controller you play a critical role in providing internal business partners and stakeholders with vital insights and recommendations in financial matters that affect the strategic and operational direction of the business together with guidance during the short and long term financial planning process.

Reporting to the Head of Controlling & Planning, you will proactively offer financial analysis, expertise and business acumen to support effective and robust business planning, performance tracking, compliant and accurate month-/ year-end closing and reporting. You will also have the opportunity to be involved and influence the product demand and supply planning for your portfolio of products.

As a strategic business partner, you are required to develop a solid understanding of our product portfolio, how we operate and the overall market environment. You are eager to broaden your expertise across areas to put financial insights into context, identify risks and opportunities for the organization and present these effectively.

You have a strong academic record in business, commerce, finance, or accounting combined with proven experience in a similar commercial analytical and financial role. Your experience should include exceptional business partnering and demonstrated experience in key Controlling activities including month end accruals, provisions, rebate calculations and analysis. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), TM1 and Microsoft Office Applications, particularly in MS Excel is essential. You will have an eye for detail and desire to understand the story behind the numbers. Ideally you will be CA or CPA Qualified.

You identify opportunities that simplify and drive efficiencies utilising strong analytical, strategic thinking and synthesis skills. Your demonstrated leadership capabilities will see you thrive within our cross functional teams and the wider Global organisation.
