Role Overview
The Watch Technician Diagnostician is responsible for the accurate diagnosis and efficient repair of watches, primarily focusing on quick interventions for basic watches and clocks. This role ensures that all timepieces meet Richemont's exacting standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose and assess the condition of timepieces to identify the root cause of issues based on client requests.
· Select the appropriate service, adhering to brand policies while meeting client needs and offering effective solutions.
· Identify necessary spare parts for repairs.
· Perform quick interventions when appropriate, adhering to brand policies and Richemont processes.
· Carefully dismantle timepieces, removing straps/bracelets and separating movements/dials/hands from case components.
· Disassemble watch case components as needed.
· Install and assemble watch case components, preparing for movement encasing.
· Ensure the waterproof integrity of the case.
· Install dials and hands before encasing the movement and closing the watch.
· Perform initial quality control checks to ensure proper function and transfer the completed piece to the Quality Control Department.
· Adhere to Richemont North America (RNA) and brand specifications for tools, procedures, work assignments, quality standards, and Standard Time of Operations (STOs).
· Maintain tools and equipment to the highest standards, ensuring calibration and optimal condition.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment with proper layout and accessibility of tools and equipment.
· Generate periodic reports, as needed.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Technical experience in the watch industry preferred.
· Experience working with luxury brands is a plus.
· Exceptional dexterity and focus for handling small parts, with strong attention to detail.
· Understanding of mechanical applications is a plus.
· Ability to follow instructions and consistently deliver high-quality work.
· Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Good communication and listening skills.
· Computer skills are a plus.
