HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Mission

As a Category Manager, you will be the ultimate ambassador and business driver for leather goods, accessories and Fragrance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence, enhancing product performance, and ensuring our offerings resonate deeply with our discerning local clientele. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and exceptional communication skills to lead initiatives from product expertise to market execution.

Responsibilities

PRODUCT EXPERTISE & AMBASSADORSHIP:

  • Act as the ultimate ambassador and referent for leather goods, Fragrance and accessories, embodying its essence and values.
  • Develop profound local product knowledge and intelligence, staying ahead of market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Empower our office and sales teams by providing comprehensive product knowledge, compelling storytelling, and effective transmission of key messages.
  • Drive business performance by creating and disseminating insightful product information, leveraging market dynamics, client insights, and competitive analysis to identify and measure Maison growth potential (volume & value).
  • Lead local product training initiatives for the category, define Learning & Development budget priorities, and contribute actively to the creation of European training content.

MARKETING ACTION PLAN & EXECUTION:

  • Translate regional priorities into impactful and localized marketing action plans, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Rigorously monitor and analyze product category performance across collections, networks, and client profiles, utilizing defined European KPIs to track success.
  • Oversee and execute local projects, including 360 product launches, and other key brand activations.
  • Gather and synthesize qualitative product insights and feedback from the market to inform future action plans.
  • Actively participate in Regional Marketing Communities and contribute to transversal projects, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT & OPTIMIZATION:

  • Manage the collection range and ensure the successful launch of novelties, including the development and implementation of display guidelines.
  • Ensure local assortments are meticulously defined by the region and remain consistent with local Point of Sale (POS) typologies and market priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Area Sales Managers to define and monitor POS sales ambitions and optimize visible assortment strategies.
  • Plan and monitor stock balancing in conjunction with local stock coordinators to effectively support local activation initiatives.
  • Drive optimal offer representation and ensure consistency across client and distribution network typologies, in partnership with local Visual Merchandising and boutique Managers.
  • Implement and continuously monitor pricing and positioning strategies to maintain competitive advantage and brand integrity.

Category managers are required to spend more than 50% of their time in the field to gain a deep understanding of their product category and maintain close proximity to the market

  • Proven experience in Marketing within the luxury retail sector.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of inspiring and influencing diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization and contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to the region are a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
