Job description

MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Assistant Boutique Manager will assist the Boutique manager to ensure the Maison’s identity of excellence is delivered throughout the Boutique. They will fluidly lead Van Cleef & Arpels spirit of beauty throughout all aspects of the Maison, whilst encouraging this to the team.

They will inspire through their client service and assist in coaching and developing all sales associates empowering them to strive for success.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Advising Selling & Clientele

·  Build boutique action plan to reach boutique sales target
·  Monitor performance and KPIs
·  Handle & solve issues related to clients
·  Sell when needed & be a role model regarding the selling ceremony
·  Follow / Monitor Sales Associates’ contact plans & clientele actions
·  Be the referent on clientele activities

 

 

Maison Identity & Expertise

·  Know the Maison’s products & History
·  Be a referent for High Jewellery, Jewellery, and Watchmaking know-how beyond the Maison’s creations and develop general knowledge on the competition
·  Ensure Brand visual identity (boutique planning, visual merchandising, maintenance…)
 
 

Customer Services

·  Follow-up CS activities
·  Be a referent for CS activities
·  Foster business opportunities through CS
·  Ensure & develop customer service excellence
·  Handle & solve issues related to clients
·  Proceed the CS if needed (welcome client, advise, reassure, share info with client, perform CS activities allowed in the boutique)
 
Client Experience & In-Store Journey
·  Coordinate omnichannel activities to ensure seamless client journey (orders, appointment booking, ship from boutique…)
·  Supervise client gifts inventory (candles…)
·  Make sure the boutique is correctly set-up to welcome the clients (workplace prepared, cleaned windows, booklets & e-catalogues available…)
·  Anticipate clients’ specific needs
 

 

Team Development

·  Can takeover when Boutique Manager is away
·  Manage back-office staff
·  Manage her/his sales team (if any)
·  Set & follow-up objectives (individual development plan…)
·  Challenge & develop the team (coaching, 1-to-1 meetings, feedback, role play…)
·  Drive engagement (info. on results – bonus…)
·  Define recruitment needs, participate in recruitments, and integrate new team members (induction, trial period validation…)
·  Build awareness on local competitors’ teams (top performers, associates looking for new job opportunities…)
·  Animate the team (prepare brief & share info)

 

 

Operations

·  Supervise back office activities (stock management incl. POS display, cash & bills procedures, document management…)
·  Build & follow-up team planning (shifts)
·  Be the key-user for SAP & digital tools (sales, CRM, CS, and back office)
·  Be the referent for omnichannel topics
·  Can take over boutique daily operations if back-office staff is away
·  Guarantee that retail procedures are respected (selling, customer services, stock management, security…)
·  Manage boutique’s expenses
·  Ensure awareness of Maison’s policies & commercial rules
·  Provide reporting (top-down & bottom-up)
