Mission :
The Operation Buyer continuously challenges the suppliers in terms of QDCF performance for parts in serial production.
Responsibilities :
- Drive negotiation in order to find extra cost savings (on top of price agreements).
- Use VPS toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
- Drive supply chain optimization (SCO), (e.g. cost workshops, total SCO), low performance supplier activities etc.
- suppliers management
- Perform purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
- Follow-up contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation.
- Implement raw material updates based on contracts/negotiations made by the Sourcing buyer during the production phase.
- Forecast cost evolution.
- Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities.
- Contribute to Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with production performance.
- Give regular input to the Sourcing buyer/Supplier Host on supplier performance during the production phase.
- Contribute to cross functional activities related to maintenance activities.
- Propose resourcing activities if needed; drive activities related to the supplier switch and ensure the sourcing part is handed over to the Sourcing buyer.
- Manage tooling inventory including repair & replace of tools, and follow up supplier owned tooling
- Own the following KPIs
- Take required actions in order to hand-over to After Market buyer when parts are phased out of production (Hand-over 4).
- Ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles within the respective segment(s).

- With respect of the decided governance and processes, the operation buyer has the authorities to act to fulfill the above described tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications :
- MBA/university degree, in purchasing
- experience in engineering/industry is a merit
