Job description

The Commercial Finance team currently consists of six professionals who work across the business providing financial planning, reporting and analytics to numerous levels of the business including Global HQ, internal Leadership, commercial, marketing teams and all key budget holders. The team provides close day-to-day tactical and medium term strategic support to the sales, marketing and brand teams. The team is heavily involved in key commercial planning and decision making processes and is focused on achievement of the strategic business goals of RBUK. RBUK and the Commercial Finance team is a dynamic learning ground for its employees and members to develop and achieve career development goals. Opportunities exist for career progression into other finance teams or commercial roles both within RBUK and internationally.

·  Reporting and Analysis

 

Monthly management information reporting, analysis & insight generation for stakeholders, focused on improving future performance enhancement

 

Responsible for improvement in design and maintaining the Board, and HQ level reporting pack for month-end and year-end results, providing insightful commentary for each for your respective sales channel

 

·  Business Partnering

 

First class support for a diverse set of business partners, predominantly sales, to aid in forecasting and delivering business plan (three revisions per year) – challenging assumptions where applicable to ensure a robust forecast

 

·  Month End

 

Accurate, efficient and timely completion of the month end close process for their channel and team tasks including accruals and P&L recs.

 

Posting of accruals within SAP

 

Responsible for improvement in design and maintaining the Board, and HQ level reporting pack for month-end and year-end results, providing insightful commentary for each for your respective sales channel

Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager to design & create efficient and effective cross-functional working practices

 

Driven to get involved in ad-hoc projects and initiates that will aid future performance

 

Responsible for ensuring the data quality of the Customer Profitability Management system through influencing the sales teams to improve their knowledge of the system

 

Responsible for insight generation from the CPM system for your sales channel to improve the value chain for RBUK

The successful candidate will be an inquisitive self-starter with a desire to improve the status quo at all times Strong data handling (Excel/SAP/BI/Hyperion) and business partnering skills Part Qualified/Finalist/Newly-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with demonstrable experience and the desire to work in one of the world best brands Someone who will live and breathe the company values
