Global Mobility team

The Global Mobility team has responsibility for the expert provision of Global Mobility services for the Firm’s international assignment needs into and out of the UK and for the calculation and implementation of expatriate compensation and benefits. There will be responsibility for supporting the team in the following key areas Database management, reporting, immigration checks, website maintenance and project management.

Responsibilities

· 
Liaising with global teams to ensure that the GMM technology is up to date and used efficiently, which will then be rolled out to the UK Team

· 
Provision of regular and ad-hoc reports to meet the UK and global reporting needs. Develop new methods of manipulating and presenting data where applicable.

· 
Working closely with the internal immigration team, ensure the Firm remains compliant with UK immigration laws by creating and maintaining up to date records of the international employees in a timely and efficient manner. Co – ordinate and liaise directly with employees with regards to their annual immigration eligibility checks

· 
The placement student will hold responsibility for co-ordinating mandatory cultural awareness sessions for all inbound international assignees.

· 
As required, the student will provide GM casework support to team members in relation to the management of international assignees/assignments.

· 
Accurately inputting new joiner offer details and personal information onto the Joiners database

· 
Initiating the services of our internal tax services for assignees & initiating the services of our external relocation providers services

· 
During ‘busy seasons’ and for specific GM programmes there will be the opportunity to widen the support provided to GM team members to include activities such as accommodation coordination, language assessment and training coordination and programme induction coordination.

· 
Opportunity to assist in the annual global tax compliance process

· 
Working with GM, internal UK and Global assignment tax service teams.

You’ll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject

· 
You’ll need to be on four-year degree programme that features a sandwich placement element
