School and College Leaver programme

A position on our School and College leaver programme is one of the best ways to kickstart your  career with PwC. You’ll learn and develop the specialist skills our clients look for and value most, whilst also studying towards a professional qualification, with support from us all the way. The work is varied, and involves working as a team to understand the financial statements and the financial position of your clients, who may vary from multinational banks and football clubs through to public sector organisations and start ups. Your work will includes investigating and analysing operational and financial risk, processes, systems and controls, and then offering your client recommendations for improvement. Good communication, an analytical mindset, strong relationship building skills and an strong eye for detail are really important in our people-focused business.

Tax

The tax landscape is constantly changing. Your knowledge will help high-profile organisations, entrepreneurs and family businesses understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. You’ll also help governments ensure the efficient operation of tax systems and use your insight to solve long-term problems.   

By joining Tax you’ll also be involved with our innovative One Tax Rotation programme. This gives you the opportunity to work outside your core tax competency for up to six months, learn from different clients and develop your transferable skills.

Compliance Services

Working within the Compliance Services (CS) team you’ll have the opportunity to work with our high profile clients, whether on corporate, individual or expatriate tax returns.

What you’ll do

· 
Deliver clean data for preparation activities.

· 
Work with our clients for data to gather information for data exchange

· 
Responsibility for requesting data from client and taxpayers.

· 
Make sure that any non-standard activity is captured and shared in advance of undertaking the work

· 
Prepare tax works/calculations, making any necessary amendments based on instruction from the reviewer, client portfolio leader, client or taxpayer

What you’ll gain

You'll enjoy plenty of practical, on-the-job training while studying for a professional qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to secure a Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) as a core part of your apprenticeship.

What you need to get in

112 UCAS tariff, plus a grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) for school and college leaver roles
