Job Title

Graduate Tax OneGM Bristol 2020
Job Description

Graduate programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

Tax

The tax landscape is constantly changing. Your knowledge will help high-profile organisations, entrepreneurs and family businesses understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. You’ll also help governments ensure the efficient operation of tax systems and use your insight to solve long-term problems.

Our expertise covers every conceivable area of taxation, with more than 4,000 tax experts proactively engaging in the tax policy debate and focused on leading views and new ideas. We’re looking for people who are flexible, ready to build strong relationships and networks, and demonstrate leadership.

Although you’ll initially be aligned to one part of our Tax practice, mobility and gaining a range of experiences is an important part of working in Tax where you’ll learn from different clients and develop your transferable skills by working outside your core Tax competency.

oneGM

oneGM (Global Mobility): The oneGM team works closely with global companies to assist in moving their people around the world. Moving assignees globally can be complex and costly for organisations and the oneGM team works with clients to develop strategies for global mobility, tax and social security advice for their mobile employees, and provide the necessary tax compliance services.

What you'll do

You'll work on diverse projects across all sectors of the economy, providing vital support to clients. And whatever you work on, you'll learn about employment tax risk, employment cost reduction and employer social responsibility.

What you’ll gain

You'll spend the first stage of your career focusing learning about our business and developing key skills. This will involve building your business, personal and technical skills by studying towards the Tax Technician qualification from the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) before working towards becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).

What you’ll need

You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
