Job description

A career in our Tax Wealth Advisory practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

Our team offers clients a scalable solution to address the tax compliance needs of corporations, partnerships, and other business entities by managing compliance services to maximise a tax department’s strengths and minimise the impact on our clients resources. You’ll support clients by providing outsourcing services which includes the preparation and review of income and franchise returns along with responding to inquiries from federal, state and local taxing authorities for our clients.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

·  Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project
·  Prepare deliverables
·  Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
·  Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
·  Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters
·  Work on developing internal relationships and your PwC brand

Tax

The tax landscape is constantly changing. Your knowledge will help high-profile organisations, entrepreneurs and family businesses understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. You’ll also help governments ensure the efficient operation of tax systems and use your insight to solve long-term problems.   

By joining Tax you’ll also be involved with our innovative One Tax Rotation programme. This gives you the opportunity to work outside your core tax competency for up to six months, learn from different clients and develop your transferable skills.

Investment

The team is one of the fastest growing areas in PwC and provide independent advice to a wide range of clients, including sovereign wealth funds, companies, trustees and ultra high net worth private clients. We have a large and impressive client base and have a highly motivated team of people providing these services.

What you’ll gain

You'll study towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification. You'll obtain a breadth of professional experience and work with peers in the Investment team as well as the wider PwC network both in the UK and internationally. As you progress there is the potential to develop a career as an independent investment adviser..

What you need to get in

You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree in any subject.
