At P&G we leverage advanced machine learning methods to solve challenging Research and Development problems. These challenges range from developing smart products, personalizing consumer experiences and understanding our consumers in depth. During this internship you will have multiple projects on which you will leverage machine learning and statistical tools to solve these types of problems. You will be part of a diverse, global team with similar backgrounds and projects with which you can collaborate to help find solutions. You will use tools such as R and Python and potentially Hadoop.

The project would have the following deliverables
1) Apply deep learning and other advanced machine learning methods to development of smart products
2) Apply advanced machine learning methods to imaging problems in support of R&D
3) Share machine learning and statistical applications with team members

At P&G, intern sessions are considered temporary employment, with a predicted ending point. No full-time employment commitments are made; however, depending on satisfactory completion of certain criteria, candidates may be considered for full-time positions upon obtaining their PhD. The preferred period for the 10 to 12 week internship is June to September. The internship is a paid, full-time, 40 hour per week position. Hourly rates are based on the student's academic year completed.

Desired profile

We are looking for applicants who are currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering or like degree and are still in in school and returning to school after their internship
