Plant Technicians are vital to the success of our business at P&G. As a QC Technician, you will work to collect, label, analyze, and record results related information in reference to raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods, packaging materials and other samples.

Meaningful work on Day 1

We do various types of work, including sampling, labeling and retaining material according to written procedures or instructions. From the beginning, you will find yourself impacting situations and influencing business-related problems while maintaining the laboratory in a clean and organized manner and maintaining the equipment. You will perform low complexity testing for raw material, finished goods, intermediate, packaging, and other sample analysis according to standard analytical procedures and analyzes results to verify if they meet all manufacturing standards and support supply chain needs. We ask you to make judgements based on knowledge and expertise as to the accuracy and reliability of analytical results; identifies and reports problems with results to supervisor. You will confront business related problems and participates in problem analyses, investigations, limited instrument/method troubleshooting, and issue resolution as necessary.

We believe you will be an excellent fit here if you have:

·  Experience and knowledge of basic laboratory operations such as weighing, titrating, microbiology, and preparing volumetric solutions.
·  Desire to learn more advanced instrumentation skills.
·  Ability to learn and perform routine calculations pertaining to analytical chemistry (e.g. dilution, concentration, test results).
·  Ability to follow laboratory procedures with technical content, quality, and safety with instruction.
·  Have effective verbal and written communication skills with supervisor, other employees, and departments.
·  Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule including weekends. Flexibility to be available for overtime and call-in as needed.
·  Ability to be trained and work safely around complex analytical instrumentation and apparatus as well as hazardous chemicals in manner that meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Education:

·  AA degree in Applied Science, Chemical Technician, Medical Technologist with a basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and/or microbiology or degree in a closely related field with applied laboratory courses and mathematics or equivalent practical experience
Experience, Skills and Abilities:

·  A minimum of one year experience in a Quality Control lab strongly desired.
·  Be willing to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, wherever these things are required
·  Knowledge of the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
