Oral-B is a leading brand in providing connected products to consumers. Our digital products are being used by more than 100.000 consumers every day and in many markets world-wide. Working in the Interactivity space of connected products, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is charged with innovating and developing the Digital elements of Oral-Care’s consumer product portfolio.
The Oral Care IT Interactivity team is looking to hire an individual who is prepared to act as a leader of lean research/agile methodologies. The scope of this role is to uncover and understand consumer behaviors, needs, and motivations using Oral-Care’s digital products. Specifically, this means to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, to design and execute research plans, competitive landscapes, and ideation workshops for Oral-Care Interactivity and Digital Products. Research planning and execution is expected to fall within all three phases of development: discovery, exploration, and validation – taking primary ownership within the exploration phase.
The work is within a collaborative process across development, design, and marketing teams to drive constant product evolution and innovation through research, identify relevant consumer pain-points / tensions and future JTBD, meaningful and data-driven insights in the Oral-Care Digital Products space, to make informed decisions how to maximize the value of our digital solutions portfolio and drive business goals. This individual will sit in IT to help grow the Product Research practice within the digital space (UXR).
Identify lead and execute relevant UX research for the Oral-B app
Create consumer understanding and identify innovation and improvement opportunities along with JTBD and/or other industry standard frameworks.
Lead and facilitate collaborated innovation and ideation work across a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrate a good understanding of methodology matching, with a bias toward behavioral methods and a familiarity with usability testing tools, methods and metrics.
Strong leadership skills and thought leadership, ideally a proven track record of Research leadership and success. Ability to propose a path forward based on the body of evidence or defining what information to seek next to drive decisions. Acting as an owner and organizer of the work
Operating with a strategist mindset to inform the product roadmap
Zooming in and out on a given day to identify macro and micro Jobs to Be Done.
Act as a consultant to questions we would like answered via analytics, and an advocate for defining and measuring KPIs. Willingness to collect and synthesize preexisting research in efforts to highlight opportunities (ratings/reviews, app analytics, customer support inquiries, brushing data, social media, etc.)
· 2+ years applied and demonstrated experience leading the planning and execution of research
· Experience in Digital Products Research and in the context of Mobile Application development is a plus
· Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Human Computer Interaction, or related field. Relevant certifications: NN/g, Design Thinking, or similar.
· Bonus: Experience working with usertesting.com, digital products, IoT, Oral Care, A/B testing, agile/scrum teams, quantitative research, data dashboards.
