They continually improve our machinery and process systems while managing teams of people in a fast-paced environment.

As the Assistant Powerhouse - Chief Engineer, you will lead the operation and maintenance of the critical power plant systems as well as manage daily direction setting of the operating teams for the South Boston Powerhouse. Using Lean Methodology, you will be responsible for eliminating operating losses , own loss elimination for the operating area and will help to develop, lead and implement savings programs. You will be responsible for ensuring a healthy preventative maintenance program is in place. You will be responsible for adherence to all health, safety and environmental procedures and permits. You will report directly to the Chief Engineer and will have supervision responsibilities for the shift teams, contracted maintenance staff and contractors, as well as monitor performance of their assigned responsibilities. You will assume the Chief Engineer’s responsibilities when the Chief Engineer is not on site.

Qualifications
Candidates who have an Associates or BS/MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or have relevant manufacturing experience with a minimum of a Massachusetts second class stationary engineers license with the ability to obtain a Massachusetts First Class Stationary Engineers License within 1 year.

3 - 5 years’ experience with power generations systems and power plant maintenance procedures.
