Trainee Merchandiser - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £24,883

Purpose of Role:
A key support role reporting through the Merchandising function but operating within the Buying and Merchandising team
Are you a fashion retail graduate or a graduate of Business or Finance with bags of talent and an interest in fashion and retail? Or maybe you’re currently a merchandising assistant? We are recruiting for a Trainee Merchandiser to join Primark based in Reading. This is a great entry level role into fashion retail and merchandising and your role will be key in supporting our Merchandising team for Primark.
In this varied role you will work with the following areas:
Sales and Stock Monitoring
Supporting the Merchandising team in delivering sales, stock turn and contribution budgets, you will help to set up and manage line projections. The ability to meet deadlines is essential and your time management skills will play a key part in your success.
Analysis and Administration
You will also be responsible for investigating and solving data inaccuracies and produce analysis reports including strategy, sign off and store range presentations. This requires an analytical approach and attention to detail
Range development
It will also be important for you to be aware and stay on top of range development and option plans plus any store or style grading amendments.
For this role we are looking for someone who has a qualification in Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, Maths or within a similar discipline along with an interest in fashion retail.
