Role: Mid-weight Designer
Primark.com launched in 2013 and has since established itself as the go-to site for fast fashion editorial, with up to 3 million visits a week. The site delivers acclaimed editorial content to 11 different countries, in seven different languages.
Purpose of role: We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented mid-weight designer to join our team. This exciting position offers the chance to create bespoke graphics, layouts and develop our daily coverage. We’re looking for someone who is naturally well-organised, has the passion and vision to create innovative concepts designed to optimise our online content.
This is a varied role from the start with Primark. The role will be both on- and off-line design, where you’ll be taking on projects from conception to completion, ensuring you adhere to the Primark personality; we’re hoping that you can, within our brand framework, still look to push boundaries creatively.
Educated to degree level in a relevant design subject, you will have in your skillset knowledge of the Adobe CS Suite. For the online work you’re doing, you will have an appreciation of UI and UX design.
This is going to be a great role for someone who’s looking for variety in their work, is able to think creatively about the briefs they’re taking, and able to deliver quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, skills experience:
· Degree educated with a BA in Art and Design or similar design related degree
· Good fundamental design skills are essential including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, HTML/CSS, Dreamweaver and MS Office
· Excellent communication skills
· Well organised
· Highly motivated
· Excellent eye for detail
· Able to work to tight deadlines
· Excellent team player
