Analytics Community of Practice Specialist
(Location: Dublin – Ireland)
Purpose of role:

Part of the mission for the Data & Analytics team is to enable and empower our colleagues across the business to use high impact data & analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies to drive business insights & improve business outcomes.
A Community of Practice helps to connect people across large organisations in similar fields to ensure they are supported, able to build capability and better working practices as well as engage and leverage with each other.
As a Community of Practice specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving Data & Analytics awareness, education, product adoption and knowledge sharing across our business teams. One of your key responsibilities will be to organise communications and events to showcase how D&A products can improve business performance – evangelise while others will include working on our product roadmap and analytics standards with our visualisation team. You will use you’re your knowledge to help define the mission of the community of analysts within Primark.
Reports to: Senior Analytics Practice Manager (Location: Dublin – Ireland)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and grow Data & Analytics community of practice
· Responsible for driving awareness and education of Data & Analytics transformation, initiatives, and products across business teams, including our data academy.
· Organise D&A community of practice meetings, communications, and events to promote business adoption of D&A products, and to facilitate sharing of knowledge and reusable assets
· Responsible for onboarding and educating new community members
· Design and management of D&A upskilling initiative, targeting the D&A community
· Transition existing Hub & Spoke meetings into CoP forums and ways of working, retaining a focus on business adoption of D&A tools e.g. Tableau, Alteryx
· Optimise D&A tool license usage by engaging our license pool owners to actively manage local licenses and content
· Organise partner engagement events (Teradata, Tableau, Alteryx) to secure buy in to our D&A platform roadmap from our business and Technology stakeholders
· Educating CoP members including our business leaders on how Data & Analytics can drive a step change in business performance
· Assist our Product Owners in managing the product roadmap for the D&A team
· Assist our Product Owners in managing the reporting Catalogue for the D&A team
· Work with the Visualisation team, Analytics Business Partners and other D&A stakeholders to ensure that standards are documented, challenged and developed Essential knowledge, skills, and experience:
· A Bachelor or master’s degree in a quantitative field (Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Management/Business Information Systems (or related degree))
· 3+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar role
· Knowledge of Analytics and BI platforms (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, R, python)
· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is desirable
· Experience with SQL and knowledge of Teradata is desirable
· Strong communication, stakeholder management and change management skills
· Previous experience in delivering D&A awareness building programs and events
